Carl has been practicing franchise law since 1995 with extensive experience in preparing Franchise Disclosure Documents that comply with Federal and State law. He has helped implement Unit, Area Developer, Area Representative, and Master Franchise programs and litigated numerous cases related to franchising and commercial matters.
Carl brings a unique mix of experiences to our team. He spent 17 years working in-house for two different franchisors, one of which was international, where he had the opportunity to collaborate with members of various departments such as Marketing and Operations on varied legal matters. In the case of his second in-house tenure, he performed the franchise law work to support the company’s growth from 35 to 4,000 outlets, resulting in over $2M of initial franchise fees earned.
Carl’s years of experience in the franchise industry and entrepreneurial spirit give him a diverse knowledge base that allows him to understand our client’s needs and provide them with legal representation that has a practical business background.
